Interview with Cybelle Jones
Q: What is your favorite shoot you've ever done?
A: I shoot people for my profession but I love actually shooting flowers and landscapes for creativity and in my spare time. It’s much slower and calmer 😆
Q: What inspires you to reach for your camera? How often do you reach for your camera?
Q: What are your favorite Lensbaby Lenses to use in your session?
A: I love the Omni filters the most, but I have just bought the Edge 50. I also love my Sol 45. So… all of them!! 🤣
Q: How did you hear about Lensbaby, and what encouraged you to purchase a LB lens?
A: Through my film education group. One of the educators there was using the Omni filters and I’ve been a fan ever since.
Q:What was your journey to becoming a photographer like?
A: Have always loved photography since I can remember and I’m a creative, so it’s definitely been a fun ride. I’ve ventured through many genres but when I had kids I ventured more towards documenting people. I found that I could make it a side hustle with this approach.
Q: What is your favorite subject to photograph and how would you describe your photography style?
A: Life!!! I love it in all forms. I’d say I’m mostly documentary. I line to photography things organically as they happen.
Q: What do you love the most about photography?
A: That it’s really made me see and look at the world differently. Appreciation of beautiful light. Appreciating the small things in life.
Q: What helps you when you're struggling with a creative block?
A: Looking toward my favourite artists on Insta. Education. And sometimes downtime.
Q: Would you consider yourself an adventurous photographer, or do you tend to stay in your comfort zone?
A: Sometimes I venture out but I’m mostly comfortable using the same gear and subjects.
Q: What else would you like to see from Lensbaby in the future?
A: Hmm not sure, I’m still getting inspiration from the things Lensbaby offers now.
